I advocate for hiring and training juniors, against LLMs, and for workers rights.

I think about tech a lot. I care about tech a lot. But I will never assume I'm right, and I will always approach conversations with curiosity and empathy. I never pull rank and always try to reach consensus.

I am trans, queer, pan, poly, neurodivergent and exploring my DID. I value diversity a lot and am a fierce believer in diversity in teams.

Things I enjoy doing in my free time

As advertised, I do tech as a hobby. My nixfiles has over 1100 commits, and I manage 2 desktops, 1 laptop, 1 bare-metal server and 3 virtual servers, all with NixOS. I host a bunch of services for myself and my family (email, calendar, matrix server, media and minecraft servers, local git forge, etc.) and I enjoy using a highly-customized environment for myself.

I built a simple static website generator in Haskell using pandoc and shake that uses markdown for content. I initially built it for a national trans group I'm organising (and we have a bunch of localized articles to help the local community), and also ported this website to use it.

I also recently built a (fish) shell prompt because I got frustrated with starfish embracing LLMs, and I wanted an alternative.

When I'm not coding, I'm either catching up to One Piece, listening to or playing music, and spending time with my partners.

And finally,

Ideally, I would really love to work for a company that is either a coop or has a workers union, that has a strong no-LLM policy, and that is making a real positive change in the world.
